Hungary Update

Shaun teaching the younger children, while Rose helps the older students

Over the next few updates, we would like to tell you just a little more about the various weekly ministries we are involved with. The first one is the Children’s English Club. Every Wednesday, we invite children (about ages 5-12) to join us for the evening. We play some games, and then the children hear a Bible story and lesson. Matthew usually shares the Bible stories in English (which Shaun translates into Hungarian), which have included the story of Zacchaeus and the story of the Walls of Jericho. After the lesson, we separate the older and younger kids for some English lessons. We have a great time sharing the love of Christ and trying to connect with some of the kids in the area!

But Jesus said, ‘Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven (Matthew 19:14 ESV)

Prayer Requests:

  1. This week, we ask you to please pray especially for the Children’s English Club, and that the Lord would use it to draw the children unto Himself.
  2. Ábris is one of the older students who attends Children’s English Club as well as Sunday School very faithfully, though we are not sure if he is a believer. Please pray for him and his family as we trust the Lord to work in his life.
  3. Matthew will be preaching for the first time this Sunday. Please pray that God will be with him as he prepares his message, and that the teaching will be encouraging to the believers and glorifying to God.

Thank you again to everyone for your faithful prayers, abundant encouragement, and thank you for taking the time to read these updates. We are so grateful for your partnering with us in our ministry in Tapolca.

Isten áldjon (God bless),

Matt and Rose
