Kisfaludi Templomrom – Ruins of the Kisfalud Church (built c. 1333) overlooking the village of Mindszentkálla

For a picture of the hill top view, If you zoom in, you will see three villages each with its historic church building.

This past Saturday, we went hiking with the Carlaw family. When we came to the top of the hill, we had a tremendous view of several villages north of Lake Balaton. One interesting thing we noticed is that popping out of every village was a magnificent, old church building. The steeples were by far the tallest structures in every village. But our hearts were saddened to think that these buildings meant virtually nothing to the Hungarians rooted in a faithless cultural Catholicism. Please take a few minutes to pray for the salvation of the people living in these villages, especially the Tapolca area where we are living and serving.

Prayer requests:

  • Pray that we would have more guests attend our English clubs, and that they would respond to the gospel and Bible reading!
  • Pray for us to grow in our marriage as we learn how to serve and teach together!
  • Pray for Rose as she leads a weekly Ladies’ Bible Study starting tomorrow!
  • Shaun has been sick for some time. Please pray that God would heal him so that he can work ‘full-strength’ in the ministry.

God bless,

Matt and Rose
