The human brain is the most complex arrangement of matter in the universe. How can we reasonably explain its origin? Reasoning scientifically, the brain looks to have been intelligently designed. We might ask those who deny this obvious inference to justify the scientific method in the first place.
Furthermore, we might ask them why we should trust the deliverances of their brains, which they adamantly state arose through unintelligent causes.
Lastly, if all that exists is reducible to matter in motion, any opinion can be rationally denied. This includes the atheist’s assertion that God does not exist and that evolution is true.
“Our highly developed brains, after all, were not evolved under the pressure of discovering scientific truths but only to enable us to be clever enough to survive and leave descendents.” Francis Crick, “The Astonishing Hypothesis: The Scientific Search for the Soul”, Simon and Schuster, 1995, p.262
